I have been a writer most of my life, been surrounded by musicians and artists and writers my entire life, and feel creativity and the passion behind it are vital parts of life.
I have performed my poetry for years in Arizona, and now in California. I have been involved in workshops, ongoing and one-time multi-media events, and non-profits promoting the arts. I believe strongly in getting creativity to those who wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to experience it. My favorite workshops have been working with the homeless.
I work part-time as a personal assistant and will be returning to school this Spring after gaining my California residency. I can't wait!
I have two grown kids who are amazing human beings and I couldn't be more proud of them. My daughter just graduated Magna Cum Laude from ASU, and my son has taken the dive into California with us and started marching in SDSU's marching band this Fall (Go Aztecs!). My daughter is going on to graduate school to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine and my son is looking to get into a Culinary program. They are both incredibly intelligent, talented, and hysterically funny. I love spending time with them.
My husband is a musician and writer who has performed his works nationwide. He does tech support work during the day and performs poetry and music in the evenings. He is incredibly talented and I'm kinda crazy in love with him. He helps me every day by reminding me who I am and letting me by ridiculous self. : )
I have been in San Diego since Dec. 2009, after living in Phoenix, AZ for 20 years. Going from the desert to the ocean has been a huge change in a lot of ways for me. I love it here, and feel like this is home. I am enjoying the adventure of it all and am always seeking more!
